Common Questions About AR Tracker

AR Tracker is a WooCommerce accounts receivable plugin for B2B stores. It lets you track unpaid invoices in WooCommerce alongside the customer charge data the platform doesn’t surface natively. AR Tracker Lite gives you visibility into total charges, per-customer charge totals, and a 6-month trend chart, all inside WooCommerce admin. AR Tracker Pro adds the full collection workflow: payment recording with FIFO allocation, automated reminders, aging reports, CSV exports for QuickBooks and Xero, credit limits, and a customer self-service portal. Lite is free and launching on WordPress.org. Pro is the one paid plugin in the suite, with pricing announced when Pro launches.

Lite shows you what’s been charged. It’s a dashboard for AR visibility. Pro lets you act on what Lite shows you: record payments inside WooCommerce, send automated reminders, generate aging reports, export to your accounting software, and give customers a self-service portal to check their own balances. Lite is the dashboard; Pro is the workflow.

Yes. Start with Lite now — it's free on WordPress.org. When Pro launches, it installs on top of Lite through hooks and never replaces it. Your Lite data stays intact. This is the recommended path for most stores.

Install AR Tracker Lite from WordPress.org. The plugin detects orders paid through deferred-payment gateways (BACS, COD, check, custom invoice gateways) and creates a receivable for each one automatically. Open the AR Tracker dashboard to see total charges, per-customer charge totals, and a trend chart. No manual data entry, no spreadsheets, no external accounting software required for visibility.

Yes, fully. AR Tracker reads customer data from the roles created by B2BKing, WholesaleX, and Wholesale Suite. No manual customer tagging required. We use WooCommerce's standard hook and filter architecture, with no overriding of core methods. Tested alongside B2BKing and Wholesale Suite during development. AR Tracker handles the receivables tracking those plugins don't include.

AR Tracker doesn't create charges for orders paid through auto-payment gateways like Stripe or PayPal. Those orders are paid at checkout, so there's no receivable to track. AR Tracker focuses on deferred-payment gateways: BACS (bank transfer), COD (cash on delivery), check, and custom invoice gateways where the customer pays later. This is the use case where accounts receivable tracking actually matters.

Note: AR Tracker Lite and Pro are in development. Both are launching soon.

Yes, with AR Tracker Pro. Pro includes four CSV export types: a WooCommerce aging report, customer balances, payment history, and full ledger. CSVs are formatted to import cleanly into QuickBooks and Xero. Multi-currency stores get one CSV per currency, bundled in a ZIP. All exports are formula-injection-safe so they're safe to open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Pro runs a fixed 4-level reminder sequence at 1, 7, 14, and 30 days overdue. Reminders fire automatically through WooCommerce's Action Scheduler. Email templates are branded with your store details and use your WooCommerce email styling. Per-customer snooze (7, 30, or 90 days) pauses reminders for specific accounts. Reminder tracking via user meta prevents the same customer from being reminded twice for the same charge.

Pro keeps working. A license unlocks updates and support, not the software itself — there is no remote kill switch. If it lapses, the plugin keeps running on the version you have; you just stop getting updates and support until you renew. GPL means you own the code that runs your business.

30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If AR Tracker Pro doesn't fit your store, email us within 30 days for a full refund. Lite is free, so no refund needed.

AR Tracker requires WordPress 6.0 or higher, PHP 8.0 or higher, and WooCommerce 8.0 or higher. It is tested up to WordPress 6.9. Multisite is not currently supported.

AR Tracker caches calculated balances and aging data using WordPress transients. The cache is invalidated automatically when orders change. The ledger and customer views use server-side pagination, sorting, and filtering, so large datasets don't slow down the browser. AR Tracker Pro uses Action Scheduler for background tasks like payment reminders, so those run without blocking your admin sessions.

AR Tracker Lite imports receivables from your existing WooCommerce order history — it is not a CSV or file import. During setup you choose a mode: Start Fresh (ignore past orders and begin tracking from today) or Import as Unpaid (scan a date range of historical orders and bring them into the ledger). The import runs via batched AJAX in groups of 20 orders, so it won't overwhelm your server. A third mode, Smart Import, is available in Pro — it uses order status to bring in only likely-unpaid orders, so already-settled orders don't clutter your ledger.

Uninstalling AR Tracker removes all plugin data: settings, cached data, user meta, and custom database tables (the AR ledger and payment allocations). Your WooCommerce order data is never touched. Deactivating the plugin leaves all data intact so you can reactivate later without losing your ledger history.
